England resumed day two of the Ashes on 196/4, hoping to push on and make a big first innings score to put Australia under pressure, whilst the home side knew that a few quick wickets would put them in the box seat.

England actually started the session well but a late collapse meant they were bowled out for 302 and Australia, thanks to a good partnership from Steve Smith and Shaun March, recovered from 76/4 to 165/4, meaning they’ll go into day three trailing by 137 runs.
