Australia eased to a seven-wicket victory over England, qualifying them for the Tri-series final in the process.

The Aussies won the toss and sent England into bat, with Kane Richardson and Billy Stanlake picking up the wickets of openers Jason Roy and Alex Hales respectively in the first three overs.

The hosts dominated with the ball and restricted England to 137/7 from their 20 overs, with Jos Buttler, named as stand in captain for injured Eoin Morgan, top scoring with 46.

Australia captain David Warner failed again with the bat as the Aussies began their run chase, falling for just two to David Willey.

However, scores in the 30’s from D’Arcy Short, Chris Lynn and Glenn Maxwell along with a late cameo from Aaron Finch, meant Australia reached the target with more than five overs remaining.

The victory means Australia have qualified for the final, and will meet either New Zealand or England.
