Sri Lanka claim test series win over Bangladesh
Sri Lanka spinner Akila Dananjaya was the hero of the hour as his five-for on debut helped his side beat Bangladesh by 215 runs in the second Test to win the two-Test series 1-0 in Dhaka, Sky Sports report.
The hosts were set 339 to win the final Test, however, Bangladesh were bowled out for 123 in under 30 overs, meaning all 40 wickets were taken before day four.
Sri Lanka made 222 in their first innings after electing to bat first, and restricted Bangladesh to just 110 all out in reply.
The visitors then made a similar score in their second innings, reaching 226 before losing all ten wickets.
Dananjaya finished with figures of 5-24 on debut, adding to the three he took in the first innings, while veteran Rangana Herath claimed 4-49.
The two teams are now set to play in two Twenty20 internationals with the first match in Dhaka on Thursday.
