The ECB have announced all-rounder Ben Stokes will travel to New Zealand to meet up with the England squad after he pleaded not guilty to affray at Bristol Magistrates’ Court this morning.

In an official statement, the ECB said:

Having entered his plea at Bristol Magistrates Court today, Ben Stokes will now travel to New Zealand to join the England squad,

Any decision to include him in upcoming matches will be made by Head Coach Trevor Bayliss and the England management team. He is not currently being considered for the ongoing International T20 Tri-Series.

Whilst Stokes will not be considered for the remaining T20 match in the tri-series which England are now eliminated from, he will be available for the ODIs beginning on February 25, and the test series starting March 22.

Stokes will travel down under tomorrow, and it has been confirmed he will not be required to appear at teh fiorst hearing at Bristol Crown Court on March 12.
