Chris Jordan has admitted that his Sussex teammate Jofra Archer wants to represent England at Test match level, the Telegraph report.
Archer, 22, consistently impressed over in Australia’s 20/20 Big Bash League with the Hobart Hurricanes, sparking talks of an England call up for the Barbados born all rounder.
Jordan, who is currently with England in Australia for the Tri-series tournament against the Aussies and New Zealand, was full of praise for his teammate back in England, and admitted that Archer wants to represent England in all formats in the future.
He has the desire (to play Test cricket for England). He says it himself. You can ask him.
However, Archer, who recently went for £800,000 in the IPL auction, won’t be available for England until 2022, but is determined to wait for his chance, and has rejected the chance to play for the West Indies this year.
Jordan, who has mentored Archer during the pairs time at Sussex, believes it’ll be worth the wait to see Archer in England colours.
