Ben Stokes doubtful to feature in England’s upcoming ODIs
England all rounder Ben Stokes is a doubt for England’s upcoming one day international series against Australia after being diagnosed with a torn hamstring, according to ESPN.
Stokes, who injured himself during fielding practise on Wednesday, failed a late fitness test to take part in the second Test against Pakistan at Headingley and was replaced by Surrey teenager Sam Curran.
The severity of the hamstring tear is unclear at this moment and the Durham all rounder is set to have another scan next week.
Reports from inside the England camp are suggesting that Stokes could be out of action for several weeks, with England’s limited overs internationals fast approaching.
Eoin Morgan’s side are set to face Scotland in Edinburgh on June 10 before returning to England to host Australia in a five match ODI series.
After the Australia series, England then host India in a T20, ODI and Test series, something Stokes will be desperate to be involved in.
