Grant Bradburn urges ICC to review 10 team world cup decision
Scotland head coach Grant Bradburn wants the International Cricket Council to review their decision to reduce the number of teams participating in the world cup to ten after their famous ODI victory over England on the weekend, according to a report on BBC Sport.
Scotland’s victory against the number one ranked ODI team sent shockwaves through the planet and shows that the smaller teams can compete.
The ICC made the controversial decision to cut the number of teams participating in the 2019 world cup from 14 to 10, with Scotland missing out on qualification.

Bradburn believes the decision needs to be reviewed as soon as possible. He said:
We are absolutely gutted about that. Obviously, yesterday was another message.
To compete and win sends a fantastic message to the world governing body that there are not just 10 teams who are well capable of playing at a World Cup. There are three or four of our fellow associate nations that need to be there as well.
Obviously, 2019 has been decided but we hope common sense prevails and that decision for 10 teams is reviewed for 2023.
It has to be reviewed now. The idea of the governing body is to grow the game and to shrink the World Cup is no way to grow the game.
With Scotland putting in a performance like they did on the weekend, the ICC may be tempted to reverse their changes to make the tournament more competitive.
