  • Will be looking to pick up first win

Scotland will be looking to pick up their first tournament win, as they make their second appearance in the competition’s history. As like last time, they qualified through the Global Qualifier, with the Netherlands.

Squad list

Scotland will be captained by Kathryn Bryce, the experienced all-rounder, for the second successive time, as they look to build on their performance in the last T20 World Cup. They failed to win a game, but put some performances together in the tournament, to give them hope for that first win.

Prediction

Scotland’s best opportunity for a victory is likely to come in their opening match against Ireland. The two sides met during the Global Qualifier, where Scotland came out on top, so they will take confidence from that result. Their other possible chance could come against Sri Lanka in the final group game. Even so, it is difficult to see Scotland progressing beyond the group stage.
