At a glance
- Runs galore when wickets were needed
- All four games end in draws
- Only 15 wickets fell over all four games
It’s amazing the difference a week can make. Last week, we had two close games with winners in both. This week, not one winner in four games, as wickets were at a premium in the four Division One games. Over the four games today, there were only 15 wickets taken in total.
Glamorgan v Leicestershire
Leicestershire started the day on 500-5, a lead of 60 runs. Jonathan Tattersall scored 112, and Ben Cox was 68* as Leicester declared on 586-7, trying to get a result. The two wickets to fall went to Kiran Carlson (2-100) and Andy Gorvin (2-89).
Glamorgan started their second innings, needing 146 runs to make Leicestershire bat again. Eddie Byrom went for five with the score on 10, and Zain-ul-Hassan was out for 29 with the score on 69.
However they were the only two Glamorgan wickets to fall, as Asa Tribe (67*) and Kiran Carlson (28*) batted through the rest of the day to 137-2. Both sides shook hands and settled for the draw.
Josh Davey took 1-12 and Ben Green took 1-19. Only four wickets fell on the day in total, and not that many runs either (223), so a fairly quiet day at Cardiff.
Leicestershire are in seventh, and take on Nottinghamshire next. Glamorgan sit in eighth, and face Hampshire. Both sides are still searching for that elusive win.

Rob Yates took two of the three wickets to fall today and ended with figures of 2-93. Beau Webster took the other one to make his figures 2-55.
