  • One Test, three ODI’s and three T20Is
  • Tour starts from 28th June – 19th July
  • Series will mark Zimbabwe’s first home assignment of the year

Bangladesh will tour Zimbabwe in June and July this summer, for a all-format series, starting with one Test in Harare.

The two teams have faced each other in 20 Tests over the years, with the most recent contests taking place in Bangladesh in 2025. That series was drawn 1-1. Overall, Bangladesh hold a slim 9-8 edge over Zimbabwe in Test cricket.

The win in April last year was Zimbabwe’s first since March 2021, when they beat Afghanistan in Abu Dhabi. However, they have since beaten Afghanistan in Harare, last October.

Bangladesh’s previous tour of Zimbabwe was in July -August 2022. There were no Tests played in that series though. Zimbabwe won both the T20I and ODI Series 2-1, with all matches played in Harare.

First home assignment of the year

This upcoming series will mark Zimbabwe’s first home assignment of the year. It will also be their first international action since the T20 World Cup in India and Sri Lanka. In that tournament, played in February-March this year, Zimbabwe qualified for the Super Eight stage for the first time after recording victories against Australia and Sri Lanka.

Zimbabwe Cricket managing director Givemore Makoni said “We are delighted to confirm Bangladesh’s tour of Zimbabwe for what we expect to be a highly competitive and exciting series across all formats. This tour is hugely significant for us as it marks the return of top-level international cricket to our home venues following the team’s outstanding performances at the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup earlier this year.

“Our supporters have every reason to be proud of what we have achieved in recent months, and we are looking forward to seeing fans once again rally behind the team in Harare and Bulawayo.”
