The Afghanistan Cricket Board has confirmed a multi-format schedule against Bangladesh and Zimbabwe for October and November 2026, though specific United Arab Emirates host venues remain unannounced.
The programme runs from 9 October to 17 November and features four distinct series. The lack of venue allocation across Dubai, Sharjah, and Abu Dhabi leaves supporters waiting on ticketing updates.
This UAE schedule follows news that Afghanistan will play a historic Delhi T20I series against India.
Following a one-off Test between Afghanistan and Bangladesh, an ODI tri-series begins on 17 October. The administrative delay resembles the logistical hurdles seen during recent India vs Pakistan neutral venue discussions.
The schedule requires careful pitch management across back-to-back international formats before the board confirms final allocations.
Multi-Format Programme Offers Red-Ball Tests
“The Test match and the tri-nation series promise an exciting period of cricket for fans in both Bangladesh and Afghanistan,” Bangladesh Cricket Board chief executive Nizam Uddin Chowdhury said.
After the tri-series final concludes on 23 October, Afghanistan and Zimbabwe will contest three T20Is before completing the tour with a two-match Test series.
Zimbabwe Cricket managing director Givemore Makoni added: “This is an important tour for Zimbabwe, offering our players high-quality competition across all three formats.”
Afghanistan open the tour against Bangladesh in a one-off Test starting 9 October.
