At a glance

  • Ranked 2nd in the world in T20 and ODIs
  • Inaugural winners in 2009
  • Three time runners up

Ranked second in the world, England will be looking to add to their only win in this tournament, which came in the inaugural edition in 2009. Since then, they have finished as runners up in three finals, each time losing to Australia, most recently in 2018.

Squad List

There is plenty of experience in England’s T20 squad, with over 960 caps. Nat Sciver-Brunt is captain, but she is missing the warm-up ODI series against New Zealand, and may miss the warm-up T20’s against New Zealand and India.

England’s 15 woman squad is:

Prediction

England should perform well in home conditions, and their only tournament win also came at home, so I expect them to reach the semi finals despite a tough group. However, they will likely need to beat either West Indies or reigning champions New Zealand in the group stage.
