Gill and Sudharsan Put Gujarat in Command
The evening began in chaotic fashion when Jofra Archer’s opening over stretched to 11 deliveries and leaked nine extras. Gill and Sai Sudharsan capitalised immediately without needing to force the pace. Elegant drives through the ground and clever placement allowed the pair to dominate the powerplay as Gujarat raced to 82 without loss in the first six overs.
Their 118-run partnership once again underlined the growing reliability of Gujarat’s top order. Both batters reached half-centuries in just 30 balls and kept the scoreboard moving with remarkable ease.
Rajasthan finally found some control during the middle overs through Yash Raj Punja and Ravindra Jadeja. The duo tightened the scoring avenues and forced Gujarat’s openers to take greater risks. Sai Sudharsan eventually perished for 55 off 36 balls after finding long-on while Jos Buttler was hurried by a sharp Jadeja delivery clocked at 107kph and holed out.
Gill meanwhile battled through visible discomfort after hurting his leg while running between the wickets. Despite the niggle he continued to anchor the innings with authority and composure.

Tewatia and Washington Provide Late Fireworks
For a brief period Rajasthan looked to have pulled things back at the death. Brijesh Sharma delivered an outstanding 19th over that conceded only four runs and removed Jason Holder. Yet Gujarat finished with a flourish as Rahul Tewatia turned the momentum again in the final over.
Tewatia danced around the crease to launch successive sixes before Washington Sundar joined the late assault with a maximum of his own. The late burst lifted Gujarat to a daunting total that ultimately proved far beyond Rajasthan’s reach.
GT vs RR Match Report: Rashid Breaks Rajasthan Resistance
The Royals made an encouraging start to the chase but the required rate kept climbing after three wickets fell inside the powerplay. Rashid’s introduction snuffed out any lingering hopes as the Afghan spinner mixed control with attacking intent to devastating effect.
His variations and sharp accuracy exposed Rajasthan’s middle order and ensured Gujarat never lost control of the contest. With support from the rest of the bowling unit, the Titans wrapped up another emphatic result in their growing run of victories.
