Danni Wyatt-Hodge’s tournament-leading return has put England in line for another final-day prize after the ICC named its four-player shortlist for the Women’s T20 World Cup player-of-the-tournament award.
The ICC confirmed on Sunday that Wyatt-Hodge, Australia all-rounder Ellyse Perry, India opener Smriti Mandhana and South Africa all-rounder Marizanne Kapp are the nominees for the Aramco Player of the Tournament award.
Wyatt-Hodge enters the Lord’s final with the strongest batting case. The England opener has made 294 runs at 73.5, including a century against Sri Lanka in the tournament opener, and has scored at a strike rate of 152.33 during England’s unbeaten run.
Perry’s all-round case keeps pressure on England
Perry gives Australia a different route to the award. The 35-year-old has produced 185 runs at 46.25 and four wickets at 7.50, collecting three player-of-the-match awards on Australia’s own unbeaten path to the final.
Mandhana’s 205 runs at 41 kept India alive deep into the group stage, while Kapp’s 124 runs and eight wickets underlined South Africa’s knockout push. Kapp’s unbeaten 81 against India remains one of the tournament’s defining all-round performances.

The shortlist gives the final a sharp secondary contest. If England finish the job at Lord’s, Wyatt-Hodge’s numbers will be difficult to ignore. If Australia extend their dominance, Perry’s balanced impact could carry the vote.
