Manav Suthar
Ajinkya Rahane praises rising left-arm spinner Manav Suthar for his ability to outfox batters across any playing surface. Former India captain Ajinkya Rahane highlighted how the youngster relies on trajectory, flight, and pace variation rather than simply banking on favourable subcontinental turn.
Rahane analysed the bowler’s remarkable mechanics following a breakthrough series in Sri Lanka. Suthar demonstrated immense control, drift, and precision, quickly proving his readiness for Team India at the highest level.
During the
Tour, Suthar etched his name into the record books by becoming the youngest Indian bowler to secure a ten-wicket haul in an away Test match. His disciplined bowling included a decisive six-wicket innings return in the second Test.
Breaking down the spinner’s release on his channel, Rahane stated: “I have noticed two things about Manav. The first thing is that for him, the pitch does not matter, whether it turns or not. His speed through the air helps him deceive the batters. It is important and good that you do not depend on the wicket as a spinner. Then you can do well in any condition.”
New Zealand. Contrasting
Tougher overseas hurdles now await as India look ahead to their forthcoming tour of New Zealand. Contrasting pace-friendly wickets will test the spin unit’s versatility, demanding rapid technical adjustments before the series commences.
