New Purple Cap Holder

Prasidh Krishna produced a standout spell, taking 4-28—his best-ever figures in the IPL—to continue his impressive start to the season. He now has 10 wickets in four matches, moving one ahead of Ravi Bishnoi of the Rajasthan Royals in the race for the leading wicket-taker.

Buttler’s Milestones

Jos Buttler brought up two significant milestones during his 60 off 37 balls. He reached 100 half-centuries in T20 cricket and passed 14,000 runs in the format. As a result, the innings lifted him to fifth in the Orange Cap standings with 176 runs. That comes after back-to-back fifties.

His teammate, Shubman Gill also passed a milestone in this game. He became the youngest player to pass 4000 runs in IPL, with his 56 off 40 balls and is up to 7th in the Purple Cap race with 165 runs.

Next matches

Gujarat Titans will be looking to continue their winning run, when they take on Kolkata Knight Riders on Friday (17th April), who are currently bottom.

Lucknow Super Giants face Royal Challengers Bengaluru on Wednesday (15th April), hoping to return to winning ways.
