Tim David’s emotional reaction to Royal Challengers Bengaluru’s dramatic last-ball victory over the Mumbai Indians has sparked off-field attention after a viral video of him appeared to show him dealing with the loss in Raipur. Social media has been abuzz with Tim David’s alleged reaction to RCB’s win over MI.

In a video, David was seen giving Mumbai the middle finger salute following Bengaluru’s thrilling final-ball victory. Before being purchased by RCB in the IPL 2025 auction, David played for MI for three seasons. Since then, he has been a key player in the batting order of the reigning champions. He lost his wicket on the first ball. Thus, he was unable to contribute to the match against MI.

As the match entered its final lap, tensions were at an all-time high, with RCB needing 15 off the last over. When Romario Shepherd was out, it appeared MI had the game wrapped up before Bhuvneshwar Kumar hit a six and Rasikh Salam won it. RCB fans speculate that David’s reaction came just after the win, because the dugout went wild.

Krunal Pandya and Bhuvneshwar’s Heroics Helps RCB to Win

In Raipur, RCB and MI faced off in a match they had to win in order to advance to the playoffs. Bhuvneshwar’s scorching spell initially had the visitors on the defensive as MI batted first. The ship was steadied by Tilak Varma and Naman Dhir before MI scored 166 runs thanks to a late flourish.

Early on, RCB had trouble, losing Virat Kohli for a duck as well as Devdutt Padikkal and Rajat Patidar in rapid succession. After that, RCB won thanks to an innings of a lifetime from Krunal Pandya, who hit 73 off 46 balls.

RCB took the lead in the points standings after the victory. After taking four wickets early in the game and then a six that changed the course of the match, Bhuvneshwar was eventually named Player of the Match.

Royal Challengers Bengaluru Goes Top

RCB took the lead in the points standings after the victory. After taking four wickets early in the game and then a six that changed the course of the match, Bhuvneshwar was eventually named Player of the Match.

However, after this defeat, Mumbai is out of the playoffs. Their campaign has been severely hurt by their lack of spirit and tenacity this season.

Before the upcoming season, they urgently need a strategic makeover, particularly by expanding their bowling choices. As stand-in skipper Suryakumar Yadav once again recorded a golden duck against RCB, the form of some of the important batters is also a cause for concern.
