CSK Injury Woes
This isn’t the only injury for CSK, as the 32-year-old England star becomes one several injured players who have either been unable to continue in the IPL or even appear at all.
CSK announced yesterday that Ramakrishna Ghosh was being replaced by Macneil Noronha. They lost top order batter Ayush Mhatre and seamer Khaleel Ahmed to injuries during the season. They have also been without their former skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni.
Two of their overseas players, Nathan Ellis and Spencer Johnson from Australia, have not been available either at any stage so far.
Overton’s replacement will be South African Dian Forrester. He has played 36 T20 matches for Rawalpindiz in the PSL and Joburg Super Kings in SA20. The 25-year-old batting all-rounder will be well suited to fill Overton’s shoes.
