Bangladesh only needed an hour to dispose of the three Pakistan wickets they required to win the second Test by 78 runs in Sylhet.
Taijul Islam took 6-120 in the final innings, taking two of the final three wickets to fall. Mohammad Rizwan scored 94 but it was all in vain, as Pakistan slipped to another defeat. Bangladesh have now won their last four Tests against Pakistan, having won 2-0 in Rawalpindi in 2024.

Pakistan Test woes
This Test defeat means that Pakistan have now lost seven consecutive Test defeats away from home. This equals their worst such streak, when they lost seven between 2018 and 2020.
Pakistan are also the only team not to have won an away Test match since the start of 2024, when they beat Sri Lanka in July 2023.
Pakistan captain Shan Masood has lost 12 of his first 16 matches in charge — the second-most defeats by a Pakistan captain, behind Misbah-ul-Haq’s 19 losses in 56 Tests. Only two captains have endured more defeats in their first 16 Tests: Brendan Taylor of Zimbabwe and Bangladesh’s Shakib Al Hasan, with 13 each.
Other stats
Bangladesh became only the second team to sweep Pakistan in a successive series of two or more matches. Australia had four consecutive clean sweeps against Pakistan between 1999 and 2009.
Pakistan are also the first team to be swept in successive series of two or more matches by Bangladesh. Zimbabwe is the only other team against which Bangladesh had four consecutive Test wins (2013-2014).
It is the first time that Pakistan have lost two matches in a series after electing to bowl first. Overall, it is only the sixth time a team losing both games in a two-match Test series after electing to bowl first.
For Bangladesh, their captain, Najmul Hossain Shanto, has won eight Tests, making him the most successful Bangladesh captain. Mushfiqur Rahim had seven wins, with five at home. Shanto now has six Test wins at home, the most for Bangladesh.
