Rajasthan Royals Cap Teen Prodigy Endorsements To Prioritise Athletic Development

Rajasthan Royals have assumed control of 15-year-old Vaibhav Sooryavanshi’s commercial portfolio to protect the batter from market overexposure following his 776-run breakout season.

The teenager commands daily appearance rates of ₹1.5-2 crore after securing Most Valuable Player honours during the recent 2026 Indian Premier League campaign. Rather than engaging an independent sports talent agency, his franchise is administering a protective framework alongside his family. This internal structure deliberately restricts adult brand categories and limits corporate commitments to shorter 2-3 year deals.

Restricting Player Commercial Commitments

The strategy aims to prevent immediate wealth creation from derailing his primary athletic progression before he reaches adulthood. Over half a dozen top brands are currently attempting to secure the young batter’s signature.

Melroy Dsouza, COO at PMG Sports, told The Economic Times that the franchise will exercise caution. “Brands will naturally want to associate with him, but Rajasthan Royals will be selective about the kind of endorsements he takes up,” Dsouza said.

This insulated approach ensures his preparations against elite pace remain the operational priority. Arijit Sengupta, CMO at Zydus Wellness, told Hindustan Times that the teenager’s ongoing partnership with Complan aligns with this measured trajectory. “Both the brand and his journey share a common belief that growth is built over time with the right support,” Sengupta added.

The in-house model establishes a new administrative blueprint for managing teenage franchise cricketers, preventing long-term contracts from demanding excessive off-field availability. As the batter readies for further top-order selection opportunities, the Royals will continue regulating his commercial pipeline until he turns 18.
