Kent Spitfires v Notts Outlaws has been pushed into the national spotlight after the ECB confirmed it as this week’s only men’s Vitality Blast fixture on Sky Sports Cricket.
The match is scheduled for Friday 26 June at 7.00pm at the Spitfire Ground, with the ECB noting that the sides are meeting in men’s Blast cricket for only the second time and for the first time since 2007.
Why The Broadcast Pick Matters
That rarity gives the fixture a sharper edge than a standard South Group night. Nottinghamshire’s own pre-match update confirmed Mohammad Amir has gone straight into a 15-player squad for the trip to Kent, while former Spitfire George Linde returns with the Outlaws looking to keep momentum moving.
For Kent, the TV slot gives players such as Daniel Bell-Drummond a wider stage in a competition where visibility can swing quickly. With selected matches also available through ECB match centres and the England Cricket app, this is the clearest domestic window of the week.
The ECB’s broadcast note also points supporters towards a weekly Channel 5 highlights programme, underlining how heavily the 2026 Blast is being packaged across free-to-air, streaming and pay-TV surfaces.
ReadCricket’s wider T20 Blast coverage will track whether Kent can turn that visibility into a statement result, or whether Notts use Amir’s arrival to sharpen their own finals push.
